About a week ago I discovered Lynchburg Grows. This is a local nonprofit that is run out of old rose greenhouses in the middle of the city. Its a pretty remarkable place and is run by some amazing people. The president of the Lynchburg Grows is Derrick, the guy pictured above, he is a real hero and gets around the green house better than I do. Anyway the guy is a saint and organizes programs for all sorts of people in the community he also runs a csa out of it....which I am now a member of.
